Q-Do I have to sign up to use UCG
Singles?

Q-Do I have to sign up to use
UCG Singles?
A-No. You can view all pages on the site except the
e-list without signing up. That means you can view the Submissions,
Bulletin Boards, Q&A, Feast pages, etc. without signing
up.

Q-What benefits do I get
for signing up?
A-By signing up you are able to view the e-list, which
allows you to send blind email messages to people on the list
and allows you to view their profiles with any BIOS, Interests
or Photo they have posted. In addition, your name is placed
on the e-list allowing others to email you and view any items
you have posted.

Q-How do I sign up?
A-To sign up, click on "Register" on the menu system.
Choose a login ID and password, and fill in the fields on
the form, including your email address. Required fields are
marked. Dropdown lists are provided for Country, Age Category
(Young Singles, Singles in the Middle, or Silver Singles),
and FOT site plans. Checkboxes are provided for email options.
Spaces are provided for a Bio, Interests, Birth Date (it will
not be displayed anyone on the site) and Photo. Once you have
finished, click the Submit button.
You will be sent a verification email within the next 24 hours.
It is REQUIRED that you click the link in the verification
email address to be accepted on the site. Once the system
recognizes that you have responded by clicking the link, you
will be placed on the e-list and given access to it.

Q-How do I enter (or update)
my Bio, Age, Interests, or Photo?
A-These are all done on the Registration page. If you did
not fill these in when you registered, or if you later want
to change something in one of these areas, use the Update
Registration page. Click here or
point at Registration on the menu system and click on "Update".
NOTE: Be careful not to accidently click the "Delete
Registration" button or you will have to register all
over again!!

Q-Can I share an email address
with someone else?
A-No. The system is designed to refuse duplicate email addresses.
If you don't currently have an email address, there are several
providers of free email--usually a Web mail account--such
as Yahoo, Netzero, Hotmail, etc.

Q-How can I view the BIOS of
others?
A-All BIOS of others are accessed from the Elist. As the
explanation at the top of the Elist says, "If the
user's name is a hyperlink (blue, underlined text instead
of black) you may click on their name to view their personal
profile." That's their BIO info. :)

Q-What if I signed
up, created a profile, but can't log into the e-list? What's
wrong?
A-There could be several things keeping you from logging into
the e-list.
1-You might not have responded to the verification email.
(Check the Registration Help page. Click
here or point at Help and click on "Register Help".)
2-Your computer might be blocking cookies, which the site
uses only to verify that you are the one using your email
address. (Check the Cookie Help page. Click
here or point at Help and click on "Cookie Help".
3-You may not be typing your login and/or password exactly
as you set it up. They are both case sensitive. (Check the
Login Help page. Click here or
point at Help and click on "Login Help".)

Q-What if I have forgotten
my login ID and/or password?
A-The system can automatically send you both your
login and password. Click here or
click on the menu option to go to the e-list. Type your login
ID into the User Name field and click the "Lost Password?"
button. (If you have forgotten your login ID as well, just
put the email address you registered with in the User Name
field and click the "Lost Password?" button.) You
should then get a screen that says your login name and password
are being emailed to you, and it should arrive in a few minutes.

Q-What if I need (or want)
to change my profile--such as my email address, login ID or
Password. How can I do that?
A-The process is the same as updating your Bio, Age, Interests
or Photo--through the Update Registration page. Click
here or point at Registration on the menu system and click
on "Update". The only difference is that if the
email address is changed, you will once again be sent a verification
email (for the new address) and you MUST click the
link in that new message to go to the site. You will not be
allowed back on the e-list unless you verify the new email
address.
NOTE: Be careful not to accidently click the "Delete
Registration" button or you will have to register all
over again!!

Q-How do I unsubscribe from
the site (and the e-list)?
A-This is done through the Update Registration page
by logging in and then clicking the "Delete Registration"
button on the bottom. Click here
